I suspect you are growing tired of my ongoing talk of Cantillon and its new arrival in Edmonton, but bear with me one more time. CBC just posted my last column (which aired on May 28) in time for my current column (airing today – June 11 – at 4:45). In terms of information, the column repeats much of what I have related to you here in the past few weeks, although it adds some interesting tidbits about history and the brewing process. Also, it adds a particularly Peter Brown-ish (the host of CBC’s RadioActive) spark. It is fun and entertaining, while still offering some useful information about the beer.

It is my first column since Peter’s return from sabbatical (when he was producing a season of the Irrelevant Show). Peter, as usual, approaches the interview with wit, humour and fascination, which creates a fun dynamic. I particularly enjoy how he locked onto the goofiness around the pronunciation of “Oude Gueuze”.

At any rate, it is a quick listen that provides some good information about Lambic beer. Give it a listen here, if you wish.
