Appropriately enough, the good folks over at Yukon Brewing are marking the Winter Solstice today – the longest night of the year (and I can only imagine how long their night will be up in Whitehorse) – by offering some special one-night only offers.
First, and most significantly, they have put their latest ADD Series beer, Longest Night IPA (which I reviewed here) on tap at Underground Tap and Grill. Proceeds of every pint sold of Longest Night sold today go to the Rainbow Society which grants wishes to seriously ill children. So if you were going to stop by for a quick beer while Xmas shopping, that gives you a good reason to go there.
If you are in other parts of the city, three different establishments, Three Boars, Urban Diner (both of them) and The Makk on 124 are offering promotions on Yukon’s herbal vodka, Solstice.
And since we are talking Yukon, they also tell me that on New Year’s Eve they are offering up to Wunderbar a couple of kegs of their Imperial Red and Ice Fog and a cask of Yukon Gold, hopped with Chinook, Centennial and Legacy and primed with honey. That could make for a merry way to ring in the new year.
